Best Dim Sum Around. Excellent Dim Sum hidden away in a strip mall. I go there all the time and would recommend Noodle Chu to anyone.
Simply ..RUDE ...RUDE ...RUDE and horrible customer service. the waitstaff are sooo very RUDE and IMPATIENT/. I stop goin here for a while fot the same reason a few years ago but went back to this place to have dinner with my girlfriends last night and all my friends and I were totally ignored and yelled at my our waiter. He yelled not talk, yelled at my one friend for trying to order some more. Apparently tjhe waiter have issues with us adding to our order. The whole time we were there no one serve us water until we ask for it and we get a pitcher and plastice cups to pour the water ourselves. Then as we were still eating they gave us the check not asking oif we were done or want any dessert for that matter. Finally we just wanted to leave and have our meals to go, the waiters weren't tending to us and they were next to us all eating. When we have to interupt there dinner for a box to go the manager just mumbled while counting his money at us without event turning to look at us. When we left my girl friend spoek with the manager regarding the custumer service he just said "ok i'll keep that in mind" while the others just giggled and spoke in chinesse. With this horrible service rude waiter it was really hard to enjoy their delicious food and have to tip such a horrible waiter was the worst. I suggest a take out from there instead if they allow it....
Authentic chinese food, not american chinese food ! Be prepared for an experience..
This is not a Denny's and is an AUTHENTIC, REAL HONEST TO GOD CHINESE RESTAURAUNT.
Don't expect english on a Berlitz level, the staff will be a bit unsure to see non-chinese eating there.
Expect real Hong-Kong style chinese dishes.
You know a place has good chinese when the chinese eat there all the time.
Pressed roasted duck, traditional chinese meats, conch, abalone, snails, scallops, frogs legs, live fish, and unbelievable hong kong multi-course meals for one price.
The multi-course experience is something only found in NYC and China.
Plain and simple this place is unique, from the calligraphy on the menus to the
coca-cola in green glass bottles. Expect a very down to earth experience.
Americans have come to expect msg laden, sugar and salt contrived nonsnese that is called chinese food.
The authentic soups, appetizers, noodles and dimsum shine. The duck is to die for, for those who love duck.
Startlingly affordable prices. Sub $10 prices for half a pressed duck. Read that again, and begin walking out the door right now. The soups are wonderfully authentic and for the beginner I recommend you avoid fish or conch. For those with a taste for real chinese, the soups and congee are great dishes.
A good experience would be many appetizers, and a shared meal of duck.
For those who are worldly in their palate, this place is a mom-n-pop godsend in the middle of
the wasteland that is New Jersey.
Do not go unless you are:
Willing to try something very different than you've ever tried before. (conch/frog legs anyone?)
Sort of know what to expect from real chinese food.
Understand that duck is a fatty dish and must be eaten a certain way.
Adventurous and of the world ! Tallyho!
If you are not looking for an adventure, go to the local "chinese" buffet.
I will be eating the pressed duck, chinese roast pork, steaming bamboo baskets of shrimp dimsum, and become very, very happy.
Noodle Chu has the best Authentic Chinese food around!.
Wow! You've got to be kidding. The Dim Sum on Sundays is great! They come around with hotplates and you take what you want. Awesome food! I always judge a place by how many Chinese go to a Chinese place. I think my husband and I were the only non asian!
BYOB which is right next door at Shoprite liquors.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Perhaps the worst restaurant experience of my life. Wait staff was extremely rude from beginning to end and the food was oily and fatty. They rushed us in and out, making my girlfiend and I feel like an imposition, rather than welcomed guests. The level of absurdity of the way in which we were treated cannot be sufficiently communicated in writing. I would greatly implore you to choose a different establishment if you care at all to be treated with any decency or respect and served a decent meal.
