Beware the self-checkout and the incompetent “Asset Protection specialists” who monitor them – Yesterday they falsely accused my son of shoplifting when one of the 6 items he scanned at the self-checkout did not get picked up by the reader.

Twice during the purchase the machine had an issue and had to be reset by an associate. Instead of solving the problem then and there and checking his receipt, the staff decided to let him leave the store and call the police.

No apology, no call back to police – just lies and incompetence

Never mind stealing, if you want to SHOP you go somewhere else.
