Great Food.... Even Better Bar. The food here is great with a choice of fine Indian or Pan Asian cuisine. Both are better than I anticipated.

The Bar is absolutely fantastic!!! Ask for the Eric to make your drinks as he is the best bartender I have met in NJ.... every drink he makes is awesome!!

Overall, Mehndi's a great place!

Excellent cocktails and really good food. On separate occasions I have been to both SM 23 and Ming II. Firstly SM 23, Mendhi and Ming II all share a circular restaurant space. You'd have to see it to understand but I really like the cirular waiting Maitre'd station/waiting area. Anyway the restaurants and the lounge share their drinks and wines list. Also, a selection of appetizers from either restaurant can be had at the lounge so I guess they share the same kitchen? This might sound odd but it really works! I've only had cocktails, wine, and appetizers at SM 23 but everything was great. It's also suitably dark and has the city lounge beats pumping. I recommend the White Merlot if you've never had it. It's like a Riesling blush. Anyway, I haven't been to Mendhi yet but the food at Ming II is excellent. I had the sizzling lamb and my gf had the squid in black pepper sauce. Jasmine rice on the side. Let me state at this point that I am a fan of Thai, Pan-Asian and everything in between and I think Morris County serves it up as well or better than many places in Manhattan. That being said, I thought the food at Ming II was packed with flavor and and the right amount of heat. Service was also excellent and the ambiance was spot on. It's really a nice looking joint. The price was also good. I can't wait to try Mendhi! FYI - If you liked Moghul (used to be next to where the Grasshopper is now - future Commerce Bank site?) these are owned by the same restaurant group.
