I love this place. My favorite time to go is in the autumn for the Halloween stuff! They always have cute stuff for kids going on during the holidays. A nice, big garden needs store, that's been around forever!

I have never been to Fairfield during the summer, but their winter holiday displays are amazing. It is a great day trip for the family. The store is stocked with hundreds of holiday decorations and provides a great place for holiday shopping and pictures.

I like to vist Fairfield Garden Center on a Sunday because everything around me in Bergen County is closed--well not Fairfield Garden Center! This large facility has everything imaginable for the gardener. If you have a water garden or pond, stock up on fish food and koi. If you want a Christmas tree from Pennsylvania, this store is for you! There is so much to browse and see--beautiful plants, pottery, and gifts. The Autumn attractions are the absolute best. I am a Halloween fan, and this nursery has a huge selection of Halloween collectibles--including Creepy Hollow ceramic houses, which I collect. They have a Halloween walkthrough Tunnel of which is so well-decorated and creepy for the older kids. Outside they erect a fun hay maze and other smaller-kid-friendly attractions. The area and greenhouse--chock full of plants--have recently been decoratively paved so you can navigate through the aisles with ease when you are shopping Fairfield Garden's annuals, perennials, and roses. If you check in the store, or online, they offer special seminars for your garden interests. The staff is friendly, educated, and willing to help you get things to your car or answer questions. Fairfield Garden Center is adjacent to a wonderful Holiday Decor shop that is a treasure in itself. You can easily spend two hours browsing both venues. This is the best of the best in nurseries--don't miss a visit!
