If Garfields never shut down, this place would not be in business. You're much better off hitting the liquor store and staying home than going to this place. It hasn't had anything done to it appearance wise since the 70's, and is falling apart. Part of the local ABA circuit, the Garwood Rest is basically a run down room with a pool table and a bar, nothing else. The patrons are all locals, most of which if you walked in there at 12am, are on their 10th hour. The service isn't too bad, however as it is with most places, if you know your bartender you get much better service. Unless you have no where else to go, you can try visiting. I would highly recommend you use the bathrooms elsewhere, not very clean inside the Garwood Rest.
- Pros: Beer & Shot Joint, Lots of parking
- Cons: Run down, Not very clean, Locals stare at you.
