If you want to be treated as a customer, don't shop here.. I've spent a lot of money in this store off and on during the year. Last week I bought something on sale along with 2 items which were not. The sale item did not fit right and I went back to the store to return it Instead of asking for my money back I asked for a store credit since I shop there so much and would be returning within a few weeks to look for a dress for my son's wedding. When I told this to the owner I was told by the owner that once you buy a sale item, no returns are allowed. I can't understand why a store owner would not give someone a $20.00 store credit when she knows the customer would be returning to spend quite a bit more than $20.00 on her next purchases. The moral of the story is. If you want to buy something on the spur of the moment it's a cute store to shop in. If you want to be treated as a customer, go somewhere else.

Dobbs Ltd. Avoid this store - rude, unfriedly and unreliable.. Last week I purchased two turquose wedding bands. A stone fell out of one after a few days. I brought it back today and was told that there was nothing to be done about it. After some argument I was finally given an exchange. The ring that was exchanged was not exactly the same as the one I had bought. I was even willing to take a store credit but was told I was lucky that they were even giving me an exchange. I would hope that I can be responsible for others not shopping here.

Wonderful inventory. Very nice staff.. I used to live in Montclair, and Ioved to go to Dobbs on Church St. I loved to clothes selection. But, I also went there because of the customer service. The owner if there, would personally dress me! She would know what would look best and have ideas from her inventory. Their inventory is great--FLAX, Putamayo, White Wash, Willow, etc. Yes, they always took my coffee from me---if I came in wit a cup in my hands--and returned it very nicely when I departed. And the staff was always nice.

I don't generally write reviews, but I saw the derogatory review that had been written, and felt that it was so undeserved. Fact is, I live in Ohio now, and am going to New Jersey next week on business, and wanted to stop in at Dobbs to look at their inventory! And would have to go way out of my way to do so. I looked Dobbs up on the Internet just to make sure they were still there before driving all the way there. That's how much I enjoyed the store.

DOBBS? or SNOBBS?. The women who are employed at this store run around like chickens w/o heads when you ask them for assistance. I spent a good deal of money in this store on my bridesmaid necklaces for my wedding party. A week later I went in to get matching earrings & no one could remember me - the necklaces I bought (I even brought one with me!) OR the money I spent. They even insisted on taking my coffee from me when I went into the store (it was hot & yummy) I told them no way and walked out - never to return again. Cute store - but the owner is a complete SNOB and the women she employs are too! Don't shop here. They they are not nice people.
