Excellent food; Good service; Mildly Expensive.
There's a lot of Indian food in New Jersey. The large Indian population might be the reason. I've eaten at maybe 8-10 of the ones surrounding the Plainfields. Raagini is probably the best. It's also the most expensive.
First, let's break down the cost. Most entrees are $15-20. They'll charge you for water if you're not careful. Two dinners, an appetizer and two bottles of (fantastic) water ran me $72 last week. This will not break the bank, but it is not an everyday place.
The service is good. For some reason, my experience is that Indian restaurants have awful service. This place does not have stellar service, but they brought everything promptly, were polite and did not disrupt my meal. They refilled my drinks quickly too. It's good service.
I have had their Chicken Kourma several times and it's always excellent. Their vegetable samaosas are also delicious. I have had 2 or 3 other dishes of theirs. Lamb Rogan Josh was not my kind of dish, but still tasty. I have never had anything bad there.
I eat here every 2-3 months. I would eat here more often if it was a little cheaper.
