Horrendous Everything!!. Had the worst dinning experience we've ever had at this place and we dine out often. Should have known it was going to be a bad experience from the moment we walked in and they lost our reservations. The food was mediocre and WAY overpriced. The manager is far from pleasant and could not come up with a simple solution to an issue. She was very confrontational and argumentative. She even had to call the owner, which is her father, in twice.

The dinning room was hotter than the desert. Three generations of family coming together for an anticipated pleasant Mother's Day meal had to be ended with a visit from the Rochelle Park Police which was in no way necessary or appropriate. The manager left us sitting at the table while we believe she lead us to believe she was waiting for the owner/father to arrive for the second time but was waiting for the police to arrive. All over a $20 dispute and on Mother's Day. We, nor any of our friends, family or associates will never again visit this establishment.

Horrendous customer service every time I go there. I noticed that most of the reviews of South City Grill are not recent and that could be why I don't agree with most of them .The food is great, but I would not go there again because the service is so horrendous! I have had more or less the same experience the last two times I was there. The servers (not just one but all that have served me so far) are uninterested in serving and very arrogant, food takes an abnormal amount of time to arrive and twice now, we were served without any utensils on the table. Glasses are never refilled. It feels as if they forget that we are there. The food is tasty and the decor is also tasteful, but I have never had such bad service at the same place on multiple occasions, bad enough to not want to go there again.

Great Experience. I would like to share a great experience I had recently at SCG. My firends and I went there for the first time and what a blast we had. The atmosphere was great. We had a few drinks at the bar; we were sat promptly at our table, ther server was polite and courteous and the main reason for my review is the food; it was incredible. We cant wait to go back for a romantic evening and as a group later. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Food/ Bar. As a restaurant it is pretty good. The prices are okay but the quality is pretty good.

As a bar, dont' bother... Older, unattractive men trying to win over yourng beautiful women with their fancy cars and cash.

How you doin?. How you doin'? must be the most common pharse here on Wednesday's. The food here is ok..Not NYC seafood, but decent NJ seafood. I did enjoy the bar, but there are way too many wanna be John Gotti disciples there on Jazz night. So, if you're into the greasy, muscular crowd, check it out. Oh, their service needs help
