We went to Kyoto on Monday evening around 9:00 PM. We were 15 of us in our party, if the owner was there he would thank God for us on a slow night. Since the kitchen closes at 9.30 the servers were rushing us as if they doing us a favor by giving us the food.The food was ok. The best part was the Manager Chris comes to us around 9.50 asking us the settle the bill since he has to close the register (as if this is a bank vault with automatic shut off) - did not ask us if we want to order any dessert or anything else. He was more eager to go home and did not care if we ordered anything more or not. The servers were not trained how to serve and were leaning over to serve the 2nd and 3rd person. This restaurant is a perfect example of the employee mentality where they don't care about the customers and all they care about is to finish and get out of there. What a shame. I wish the owner was there to witness this. Since they rushed us I left a 13% tip on a $400 bill which I thought was more than sufficient based on their lousy service and 45 minutes of work, the manager had the cheek to come as tell us that the tip is not enough for a big party like ours. There are a lot of restaurants that one can go to and we don't have to put up with this nonsense especially when we are paying for it. BTW their prices are not that cheap but the service is.

A big place with plenty of seating, Kyoto is one of the only hibachi places around. Hibachi tables are big enough for 10 people or more. The food is good and the sushi is as good as you'll find in morris county.
