authentic, inexpensive, and positively delicious.
while they do not offer the normal phad thai at dinner (only served at lunch -- very traditional), the dinner we had was fabulous -- we split a watercress dish and a beef dish. a great combo! it's byob, so that helps keep the cost down, and the quality of the food was five star perfect. very casual ambience -- yet the dimmed lights at dinner give it a lovely intimate feel. be forewarned, they only take cash.
The Best Thai I've Ever Tasted.
I come to this place as often as I possibly can. The food is delicious- definitely try any of the dishes with the pepper paste sauce... it is unbelievable. Also, the ground pork with basil and the pork in peanut sauce are outstanding. I have never had anything that I didn't love. To top off your meal, go for the homemade coconut ice cream with sticky rice. My boyfriend lived in Thailand for a year, and says that this is the most authentic Thai he has ever had in the states... and better than a lot of the food he had over there!!
The wait staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is cheery and warm. The BYOB feature makes your meal especially affordable... and the food is priced very reasonably. The place is a true gem in a somewhat overpriced area.
