Fine Dining For a Mature Crowd. The Clinton House is the only "posh" restaurant in Clinton Town. That does not mean it's the best food (see my review of The Tomato Cafe). It's is quite enjoyable and delicious but the real reason to get out of the house and go is for the ambiance. No screaming children. Romantic. Mature (generally over 50 crowd). All within a magical Tudor setting with antique decor. Dimitri, the owner is a charmer and very experienced as a restauranteur. Reservations on the weekends seem to be necessary but he sat me without a wait despite my lack thereof. Most notable for their crab cakes. Good hearty German cuisine. Price range: $11 - $19 / entree.
